What Members Are Saying About Living Family History

Living Family History was born as a result of the cold sting of death that so many of us have keenly felt at some point(s) in our lives. It’s a pain that has plagued humanity throughout our history: a loved one dies, and those of us that are left behind to mourn are left with an unspeakable emptiness. We don’t know where to turn to, what to think, or even what our future might hold — the effects are both instant and debilitating.

What’s more, only those who knew the deceased are able to recall the intricacies of their personality, face, and voice. When we pass on, it’s always been the case that our loved ones’ memories fade away with us. If someone were to ask, “What were they like?” only those who knew them could give an answer.

At least, that’s the way it used to be. Living Family History was founded to be a solution for people who want the memories of their loved ones which they cherish so dearly to be preserved forever. It’s a private social media platform (of sorts) that offers a proactive means to save those memories, whereby diminishing the pain of losing a loved one.

While nothing can replace the joy of having them in your life, it’s no small thing to be able to save old photos, videos, files, documents, and even audio files. Think about the possibility of your grandchildren being able to hear what your very own grandparents’ voices sounded like!

We might be biased, seeing as how we made LFH and all, but for our money, it doesn’t get much better than being able to connect with your living family by sharing your favorite images and videos from shared experiences of the past!

What Our Members Say

As you can probably already tell, we are passionate about what we’ve created — so much so that we could probably talk about it until we are blue in the face. To keep that from happening, we thought we’d shift gears for today’s blog. Now that we’ve described the essentials of Living Family History, we will take the opportunity to highlight what our members are saying about our private photo storage platform.

For folks who are considering becoming members, we thought that you’d like to read from current members who were once wearing your shoes; looking for a safe and private space to meet and connect with your family (and other members) while capturing and chronicling your unique stories.

That being said, let’s take a look at a few of our favorite reviews and testimonials!

Helped Me Enjoy Our Family Gatherings More

I love this site. I’ve downloaded pictures and audio along with some written messages between me and my sisters. It’s great to go back and see how much fun we have together. It’s also helped me enjoy our family gatherings more. I’m paying more attention to the dynamics and essence of our family. Knowing I can hold on to those moments makes it even better.” Debbie B., Verified Member, Five Stars, 12/18/2018, Top Rated Local®

“This Site Is Such A Gift”

I’ve been concerned about losing the most important part of life (those I love). The experiences that have shaped me too. This site is such a gift, and it will always give back! Thank you Renz!” – Sir Renz, Five Stars, Google Reviews

Sir Renz, we like your name and we like your feedback. Thanks for your kind words, membership, and for taking the time to let us know your thoughts. And you are right, so many of our past experiences with family and friends have shaped who we are in the present. It’s easy to forget the details of some of them, so having the ability to trigger your memory can help remind you about where you’ve been and who you are. When you think about it, it’s a lot like Simba and Mufasa in The Lion King, if you happen to be a Disney fan. Either way, thanks for the five-star review and for your kind words!

  • Wow LFH! What a great way to store and share our family legacy.
I have found this process to be a way of reliving precious moments, events, documents, recipes, voices and by bringing my lost family past to everlasting life.
    A gift that will give…forever!

  • I remember clearly speaking with my mother…. she had just started a new treatment. She was eager to explain everything. She had exuberance in her voice. She assured me she intended to live many years to come….. less than a month later she was gone. I was the only family member who hadn’t seen her. From the moment she had been diagnosed my wife and I hadn’t seen her. She was gone.

That is why Living Family History is an essential keep sake (as it were). We all purchase insurance(s) of different sorts, for the ‘just in case’ scenario. Many of us create will and trusts for ‘that day,’ right?

That is was Living Family History is… Do it…. I am.
